Aqua Jumbo Tours has luxury and deluxe eco-friendly houseboats cruising through Alleppey and Kumarakom backwaters. This includes one and two bedroom houseboats.Aqua Jumbo houseboats are well furnished with a lobby cum dining hall,executive lounge,sun bath deck , bath attached bedrooms and a hygienic kitchen.The spacious bedrooms of our houseboats are provided with a double bed ,chair and a chest of drawers hidden beyond the brass coated door in the passage. The rooms of houseboats are air-conditioned with modern facilities and fitted with windows giving you an exotic view of the backwaters. A second door leads into a proper little bathroom,complete with wash basin,shower and an European style toilet , all of good quality.
Our crew consist of 3 including two captains and a chef. The crew takes care of the personal service on board alternating between waiter and guide for sightseeing trips on land. The chef serves you with well prepared delicious food in typical Kerala fashion.
Considering the safety of our guests,as a precautionary step our houseboats are equipped with life jackets,fire extinguishers,fire buckets and air-tubes etc.
The houseboat tour gives you an opportunity to see and experience the world that really exists : to look out over the vast green fringed expanse of Lake Vemabanad and Lake Ashtamudi, watching the shores glide slowly past,where villagers are up and about ,morning ablutions are conducted. At night one can gaze at the stars and the moon and some times music from a temple festival in the distance floats across over the water.During the day , the meditative journey can be punctuated by excursions on land : villages where one can visit Christian churches or rice fields.
